some observations i made as i rewatched episode 4 and the interactions between porsche kinn and vegas.

based on what we have been shown so far, kinn and vegas do not get along at all. they can’t stand each other, vegas has to ask about the auction to make sure kinn is going because they don’t talk to each other unless it’s strictly business related. so why would kinn talk to vegas about porsche? especially tell him that porsche is not adjusting well to working for him? it’s because he doesn’t.

Time and Tay are like voices on Kinn's shoulder.

The Demon and The Angel.

If they've known each other for years, I feel like Time would be the friend who talks Kinn into bad situations, who convinces him to smoke his first joint, who introduces Kinn to his first hooker, who gets Kinn in trouble with his dad. But of course, Korn can't kick him away because Time's family has dealings that Korn needs.

On the hand, we have Tay who is emotionally intelligent, open, smart and kind. The friend who keeps Kinn humble and puts him in his place. The one who talks Kinn into opening up his heart and being kind to the new kid.

In this scene,

Tay is worried that Kinn is being irresponsible with money but just look at Time's face. He's fucking proud of Kinn. He's probably not talking because he knows Tay would shut him down. But he's very much on Kinn's side.

I love the dynamic.

I also love that the angel and the demon are in a (seemingly) loving relationship. I love it. I can't get over how different their vibes are, and yet, they share every scene, linking fingers, staring at eachother, sharing kisses in the corner of the screen.

Kinn must be so sick of them.

Can we please talk about this scene? This is right after Porsche found out that Kinn's gay and that Kinn was the one who kissed him at the pier a few nights before. The same Kinn who (as Porsche found out) didn't even like kissing his f***buddy. So ofc, Porsche would think, "hey maybe this dude actually likes me. Like he really likes me? He kissed me. Of all people."

That little thing gave Porsche a bit of hope. A bit of expectation. Probably even more so when Kinn told him to take off his shirt to check his injury. He must've thought that maybe this bastard may actually care about him.

ONLY to be shut down in an instant in this heartbreaking scene. When Kinn said that he's just like everybody else, Porsche's disappointment in the end was very palpable. His whole face just fell. (And goddamn it, I felt that. And the whole world felt that.) 🥺
